The Grip Gallery [a visual archive of things we hold] was born as a virtual gallery focused on the relationship between people and the objects that inhabit everyday life. What we use, what we choose to keep close, the objects that accompany us to work, create, or move through the world, speak of habits, references, and ways of seeing. The grip, the act of holding, works as a starting point to read those choices.

Each image includes a hand. Not as a symbol, but as scale and context. A way of showing objects in use, outside of abstraction.

TGG functions as a collective visual archive, an open encyclopedia of objects held by real people. Designs, tools, packaging, graphic pieces, odd forms, and found objects. References that circulate between work, visual culture, and daily life.

The project is built in collaboration with visual artists, designers, and creatives from different fields. Each contribution adds a new layer to the archive and expands the map of objects and aesthetics that coexist in the present.

What we hold also shapes identity. Tag @the.grip.gallery #thegripgallery
